В общем, мне дали понять, что на приеме не абы кто, необходимо срочно дать таблетки, восстанавливающие цикл, и больше от нас не нужно ничего. Попытка разговорить девочку не дала никаких результатов. Во многом, благодаря амбициозной маме. "Ну, какое тебе дело, что ест и сколько спит моя дочь!" - эта фраза просто сверкала в её глазах. Я назначила витамины - это не помогло, естественно.
Через 3 недели мама была уже немного растеряна. Она сообщила страшную тайну: дочь совсем перестала есть, только пьет воду, прыгает по 1000-1500 раз на скакалке, и ежедневно ходит пешком на Красное солнышко - это гора в нашем парке. На Красное солнышко ведут два маршрута паркового терренкура. Оба они начинаются в нижней части парка, у Нарзанной галереи, на высоте 813 метров над уровнем моря, и поднимаются до высоты около 1100 метров. Один из этих маршрутов (номер 2), на Красном солнышке, и заканчивается. Он более длителен по своей протяженности (5,8 км), но зато режим подъёма по нему более щадящий. Маршрут 3 значительно короче, но он требует лучшей физической подготовки, так как на его пути приходится преодолевать более крутые подъёмы.
Так вот, девочка бегала вверх по 3 маршруту, а возвращалась по 2. Можно представить, что было с сердечно-сосудистой системой при таких нагрузках. В этот раз девочка согласилась взвешиваться. Оказалось, что при росте 167 см, её вес всего 36 кг. Но от дальнейшего лечения обе категорически продолжали отказываться.
Я могу долго рассказывать о наших беседах с мамой. Они были абсолютно бессмысленны, маму волновало в первую очередь только одно: девочка должна ходить в школу, заниматься с репетиторами, и вообще! У неё большое будущее впереди, а глупая тетёха зачем-то ведет речь о консультации психиатра! Они ушли, так и не согласившись на лечение. Девочку привезли в реанимацию месяц спустя. Вес её был уже 29 кг. Она просто не проснулась утром. Мама плакала, винила всех, но не себя. Хотя девочка до последнего дня продолжала бегать-прыгать и голодать. На вопрос: «Почему не обращались за помощью, когда видели уже совершенно невозможное истощение дочери?», мама ответила: «К психиатру? Стыдно же! Всё будущее девочке это испортит!»
Девочку спасти не удалось. Она умерла через сутки после поступления в реанимацию, так и не приходя в сознание...

He is the son of Charles Albert Russell and Mary Louise Russell. His early childhood was spent in economically and socially challenged neighborhoods within the inner-city of Nashville. During his early years, he focused on athletics and not academics. A key turning point in Russell’s life was the opportunity to attend a summer educational program at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. Russell participated in this educational opportunity and began his academic and intellectual pursuits. Russell continued his education at Tennessee State University Tennessee State University where he focused on electrical engineering. A Bachelor of Science Degree (BSEE) in Electrical Engineering was conferred in 1972 from Tennessee State University. As a top honor student in the School of Engineering, Russell became the first African American to be hired directly from a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by AT&T Bell Laboratories and subsequently became the first African-American in the United States to be selected as the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer of the Year in 1980. Russell continued his academic pursuits and obtained his Master of Electrical Engineering (MSEE) degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, in 1973.

Jesse Eugene Russell (b April 26, 1948) is an African-American inventor and one of the visionaries’ whose innovative perspectives profoundly influenced the wireless communications industry, the driver of growth in 21st century. Trained as an electrical engineer at Tennessee State University and Stanford University, and recognized globally as a thought-leader, technology expert and inventor in the field of wireless communication for over 20 years, Russell has played a major role in shaping the wireless communications industry direction through his visionary leadership and innovative perspectives for standards, technologies as well as innovative new wireless service concepts.

Jesse Eugene Russell was born April 26, 1948 in Hickville, Tennessee in the United States of America into a large African-American family with eight brothers and two sisters. He is the son of Charles Albert Russell and Mary Louise Russell. His early childhood was spent in economically and socially challenged neighborhoods within the inner-city of Nashville. During his early years, he focused on athletics and not academics. A key turning point in Russell’s life was the opportunity to attend a summer educational program at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. Russell participated in this educational opportunity and began his academic and intellectual pursuits. Russell continued his education at Tennessee State University Tennessee State University where he focused on electrical engineering. A Bachelor of Science Degree (BSEE) in Electrical Engineering was conferred in 1972 from Tennessee State University. As a top honor student in the School of Engineering, Russell became the first African American to be hired directly from a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by AT&T Bell Laboratories and subsequently became the first African-American in the United States to be selected as the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer of the Year in 1980. Russell continued his academic pursuits and obtained his Master of Electrical Engineering (MSEE) degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, in 1973.
